Summary
AEW has announced a crossover with DC that will bring the promotion's roster into a two-issue comic book event alongside Justice League characters.
The 48-page story is written by Steve Orlando, illustrated by Travis Mercer and features covers by Lucas Meyer. AEW said the comic will pair names including Mercedes Moné, Will Ospreay, Darby Allin, Jon Moxley, Swerve Strickland, Hangman Adam Page, Toni Storm, Willow Nightingale, Orange Cassidy and Kenny Omega with DC characters including Batman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Aquaman, Nightwing, Hawkgirl, Zatanna and Green Lanterns Guy Gardner and John Stewart.
According to the announcement, the story centers on the teams trying to recover the Big Galactic Belt and stop a cosmic catastrophe.
What the DC x AEW rollout includes
AEW said a special preview edition will debut at New York Comic Con. The promotion also announced two fan events for that weekend.
On Friday, October 10 at 5 p.m. ET, Tony Khan is scheduled to appear at the Javits Center with Jon Moxley, Swerve Strickland, Orange Cassidy, Willow Nightingale, Orlando, Mercer and moderator Frankie Smith for a panel titled "Heroes, Villains, Spaces In-Between: Pro Wrestling and Comic Storytelling."
A signing is also scheduled for Saturday, October 11 at 3 p.m. ET at DC Comics Booth #4365, with Moxley, Nightingale, Strickland, Cassidy, Orlando, Meyer and Mercer advertised. AEW said wristbands for that signing will be distributed Saturday morning between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. ET.
AEW also said the two-part DC x AEW comic will be sold at comic shops, on ShopAEW.com and at select AEW live events in 2026.
Full Gear and DC K.O. connections
The crossover goes beyond the comic itself. AEW said it will also promote DC K.O., a DC Comics event from Scott Snyder and Javier Fernandez, across its television, digital and social platforms.
The companies also announced that Full Gear on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey will be presented by DC Comics. AEW added that the pay-per-view will be available to U.S. subscribers on HBO Max with supported devices.
That gives AEW a broader branded partnership than a one-off merchandise tie-in. With Full Gear folded into the rollout, the crossover becomes part of AEW's pay-per-view promotion as well as a separate comic release.
