Kevin Knight did more than survive MJF, he strengthened his case as a rising champion heading into his upcoming AEW World Championship match with Darby Allin. That gives next week's special a clear hook, because AEW now has its TNT champion moving directly into the world title picture.

Allin's successful defense over Brody King matters for the same reason. Instead of a title change or a messy reset, AEW kept its top belt on Allin and rolled straight into a fresh television defense against a champion who just beat MJF.
