Summary
AEW has announced a special edition of Collision titled Fairway To Hell for Saturday, May 9. The show is set to take place at the SoFi Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The announcement also noted that Early Access Premium Seating begins tomorrow, while general ticket sales are scheduled to open on April 13.
Tony Khan's Earlier Fairway To Hell Idea
The Fairway To Hell name has been in AEW's plans for some time. The company filed for the trademark in June 2024, and Tony Khan later explained that he envisioned it as part of a wider concept tied to a charity golf event and a themed television show in the same market.
Quote from Tony Khan
"I had this amazing idea. I really wanted to do something I think would be for a great cause, and it’s a charity golf tournament. It would be great for wrestling and great for wrestling fans. It would hopefully bring new fans to golf and wrestling. There is more of a crossover than people realize within the sports. I want to do a charity golf tournament called Fairway to Heaven and have wrestlers and golfers and people participate for charity at Fairway to Heaven and then do Dyamite in the same city or region called Fairway to Hell. I think it’d be awesome,"
What Fairway To Hell Means For Collision
Giving Collision a branded special on May 9 adds another themed stop to AEW's Saturday schedule and gives that episode a stronger identity heading into ticket sales. It also suggests AEW still sees value in building standalone Collision events around distinct concepts rather than treating every week as a standard episode.
