Summary
AJ Lee says Paige and Kaitlyn are the two names she would most like to see back in WWE.
Lee reflected on both women during a recent interview, pointing to two rivals who were closely tied to her run near the top of the division from 2012 through 2014. She said she would bring back Paige and Kaitlyn if she had the choice.
The comments arrive with Lee back in a featured WWE role ahead of WrestleMania 42 night one, where she is scheduled to defend the Women's Intercontinental Championship against Becky Lynch.
Quote from AJ Lee
Lee said:
"I love Paige... if I could bring somebody back, her and Kaitlyn. Let's get them back."
Lee later went on to say:
"It would be great. She's so talented and I knew it from day one. We'd always joke that I was her fairy godmother and I just took her under my wing and tried to protect her. And just to see her now, it would be kind of heartwarming and healing, and she would be a great addition to this locker room. I think this place has really come a long way and the women work together so beautifully, and they're so supportive. I would love for her to experience just how fun it is now."
What AJ Lee's comments could mean for Paige and Kaitlyn
AJ Lee's remarks do not confirm that either return is in the works, but they do put fresh attention on two women tied closely to one of WWE's most memorable women's division rivalries of the 2010s. If WWE ever revisits either name, the company would have an easy historical link back to Lee and that era of the roster.
Paige stands out in particular because Lee framed her as someone who helped define that period and who could still fit into today's locker room environment. Even without any official movement, Lee's comments are enough to get fans talking again about whether WWE might eventually revisit that chapter.
