Summary

AJ Styles shared a message of support for the WWE wrestlers who have recently left the company, saying the hardest part can be feeling like a run ended before it was supposed to.

Speaking on The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, Styles said those departures can stay with wrestlers because they may not feel they got to finish what they set out to do.

Quote from AJ Styles

"My biggest fear in my own career was that I wouldn’t get to finish. It’s kind of one of those things where they didn’t get to finish what they signed to do and I know that’s going to bother them. Don’t let it bother you. Don’t let this business destroy who you are. You are obviously great because you made it to one of the biggest wrestling companies in the world. There’s no doubt about that. We have no idea what the circumstances were to get you where you couldn’t be there in the WWE anymore. But that doesn’t mean it’s over for you. So, just keep that in mind. Keep your head up and see whether it takes you next. Who knows where that’d be. It maybe wrestling, maybe not, but just don’t let it destroy you."

AJ Styles focuses on life after a WWE exit

AJ Styles put the focus on what happens after a WWE departure, telling the released talent not to let an unfinished run define them. His message was that reaching WWE already says plenty about their level, even if the ending was abrupt.

Styles did not offer new details about the departures themselves. What he did make clear is that he does not view those exits as the end of the road for the wrestlers involved.
