Summary

Alba Fyre has left WWE, ending a run that began after her appearance in the inaugural Mae Young Classic and became official when she signed with the company in 2019.

Fyre, who previously wrestled as Kay Lee Ray, last competed on television on the February 20 episode of SmackDown, where she lost to Tiffany Stratton. In recent months she had been aligned with Chelsea Green and Piper Niven in the Secret Hervice group.

WWE run and title history

Fyre built much of her WWE résumé in NXT UK, where she held the NXT UK Women's Championship before moving to NXT in 2021. She later won the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship and the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship alongside Isla Dawn.

Her departure also closes the chapter on that pairing in WWE. Dawn was released in February 2025, and Fyre now exits more than a year later after spending the last stretch of her run on the main roster.

What Alba Fyre's exit means for WWE's women's depth

Alba Fyre leaving takes another experienced name out of WWE's women's tag and undercard mix, especially on SmackDown where she had most recently been used with Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. With Green sidelined by an ankle injury and Niven out with a neck injury, the group now looks fully dormant.

It also adds another former tag champion to the list of recent departures, which matters because WWE has leaned on established pairings to keep the women's tag scene moving. Alba Fyre's bond with Piper Niven had been part of her presentation, and that history gave the act some built-in continuity even when screen time was limited.
