Summary
CM Punk and Roman Reigns are both scheduled to appear on the April 13 episode of WWE Raw from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. WWE confirmed their appearances for what will be the final Raw before WrestleMania 42.
The announcement comes days after Punk used Monday's show to call out Reigns during a pipebomb-style promo. Punk took aim at Reigns for missing Raw and fired off several insults as the WrestleMania build continued.
At this stage, WWE has only officially listed one item for the April 13 card: an appearance from Punk and Reigns.
How this affects WrestleMania 42
With WrestleMania 42 Night 2 still ahead, WWE now has one more live Raw to put Punk and Reigns in the same spotlight before the show. That gives the company a final chance to escalate the issue Punk raised earlier in the week and sharpen the tone of the rivalry heading into Sunday.
It also makes next Monday's segment one of the key final promotional beats for WrestleMania 42. When two names at Punk and Reigns' level are advertised for the last Raw before the event, fans can reasonably expect the show to further define the stakes around their Night 2 match.
