Summary
Cody Rhodes shared a story about how much Vince McMahon enjoyed John Cena's 2005 album, saying he was told McMahon would play it at full volume during flights on the corporate jet when it first came out.
Speaking on the latest episode of *What Do You Wanna Talk About*, Rhodes said Dusty Rhodes had just returned to WWE at the time and was not sure whether the experience was a joke or simply how those flights worked. Rhodes added that Cena was on the flight as well.
Quote from Cody Rhodes
"When the album first came out, when John did that album , most people know he self financed it and did everything himself. When that album first came out, Vince was such a fan of it that he played it on the corporate jet at max. My dad had just come back to work here and he couldn't tell if it was a rib or it was like, oh, this is what these jet rides are like. It's just so loud. Like the whole flight, what? John was on the flight too."
What the story says about John Cena's standing in WWE
Rhodes' anecdote speaks to how quickly *You Can't See Me* became part of Cena's larger WWE identity in that era. It was not just a side project, it was memorable enough that McMahon was apparently turning corporate jet rides into listening sessions, which says plenty about how much Cena's presentation connected inside the company at the time.
It also lands as another reminder of Cena's long-running place in WWE history. That came through recently in Cena's comments about Stephanie McMahon helping save his career early on, another story that looked back at how important those early years were to what followed.
