Summary

Cody Rhodes says he recently visited WWE headquarters to get a better sense of what a post-wrestling role inside the company could look like.

While speaking on *What Do You Wanna Talk About?*, Rhodes said he approached the trip seriously, treating it like a job interview rather than a casual office visit. He said he prepared detailed material for Bruce Prichard, the creative team, WWE's consumer products division and Lee Fitting's group, while also asking roster members for ideas before the meetings.

The comments add another layer to a stretch where Rhodes has been open about how he sees his long-term place in wrestling, much like his recent remarks about how much behind-the-scenes information fans really need.

Quote from Cody Rhodes

"I wanted to go to the office to see what life would be like at the office at WWE HQ. I had a career before as Executive Vice President (at AEW), and I failed at it. I had some success along the way, but failed. Ultimately, I learned a great deal from said failure, but I wanted to go and I wanted to treat it like I was going there for a job. I wrote up a full tech format, times, and everything. Not a dreamer one, I took what we had now to go share it with Bruce Prichard and the creative team. I wanted to go to CPG and meet with Lee Fitting and his team and these departments. Not a three-minute 'Hi,' no, 'What can I really do for you? Do I get anywhere?' I didn't want to be unprepared. I reached out to as many people as I could on the roster and said, 'What's an idea for you? What's something you want to do?' Some people called me, some people didn't reply, some sent a nice text with a simplified note. You [Kit Wilson] didn't send me a text or voicemail. I have nine full-blown PDFs. At every meeting I was in, I almost spoke about you."

What Cody Rhodes' WWE Future Could Look Like

Cody Rhodes framing the visit this way suggests his interest in WWE goes well beyond his current run as Undisputed WWE Champion. The immediate takeaway is that Rhodes is already thinking about how he could contribute to creative and other departments once his in-ring career slows down.

It also stands out that Rhodes said he came in with ideas sourced from the roster instead of only pitching his own vision. That approach lines up with someone trying to prove he can be useful inside the broader WWE system, not just as an active top star.
