Summary

Cody Rhodes said three episodes of his "What Do You Want To Talk About?" podcast will never be released because the drinking during those recordings went too far.

Rhodes made the comment while appearing on The Nikki & Brie Show. He explained that the Wheatley American Vodka sponsorship, which is regularly worked into the WWE podcast, led to pours that were heavy enough to derail multiple interviews.

According to Rhodes, the shelved episodes featured Alexa Bliss, Big E and another guest he initially did not name. Chelsea Green later confirmed that she was the third superstar involved.

The comment adds another bit of Cody Rhodes news to a busy week in which he has also been part of WWE's stacked April 3 SmackDown lineup.

Quote from Cody Rhodes

Speaking about the unreleased interviews, Rhodes said:

"The pours are a bit heavy. I will apologize to Alexa Bliss, Big E. I'm not going to name the other one because she'll go ham with it. Three of these episodes will never make it because of how deep those pours were. It's never my fault. I'm kidding. It's never their fault, it's always my fault. I already have a lisp, so if you're starting out, [slurs words] and then you watch it, 'I thought it was okay.' It's rough. I wanted those to be better for them."

What Cody Rhodes' podcast comment means for WWE

Cody Rhodes making three episodes unusable shows this podcast is being presented as a looser, personality-driven show rather than a tightly controlled promotional interview. In practical terms, that means WWE is willing to leave material on the shelf if Rhodes feels the final product does not do guests like Alexa Bliss, Big E and Chelsea Green justice.

It also tells fans that the show is trying to sell Rhodes' off-camera charisma as much as his current TV role. That matters when one of WWE's top stars is carrying projects beyond the ring, especially during a week when Rhodes is already central to SmackDown promotion.
