Summary

A post on X highlighted that Oba Femi went 0-5 during his NXT LVL UP run across 2022 and 2023, with four of his singles losses coming against wrestlers who are no longer with WWE.

Dijak responded to that stat by suggesting the early defeats would not be surprising if they were part of WWE testing how Femi handled adversity before a bigger push.

Social media response

Dijak wrote on X that he could not confirm the claim for certain, but said the situation would fit a pattern he believes WWE sometimes uses with wrestlers it has major plans for.

"I don't even know if this is true or not, but it wouldn't surprise me. WWE will often quietly test wrestlers to see if they have an attitude problem, especially if they have big plans in store. Oba obviously passed with flying colors, I never heard anything even remotely negative and he was a pleasure to work with."

What Dijak's comment means for Oba Femi

Dijak's response reframes Oba Femi's rough NXT LVL UP record as something closer to an internal test than a warning sign. If that read is accurate, those early losses mattered less than how Femi carried himself while WWE was evaluating him.

It also adds another layer to how quickly Femi's standing changed after that start. A 0-5 opening record usually looks like a stalled launch, but Dijak's remark suggests WWE may have viewed the bigger picture very differently.
