Summary

Don Callis is not hiding how badly he wants to see The Young Bucks get run over at AEW Dynasty.

With Kyle Fletcher sidelined by injury, Kazuchika Okada is now set to team with Konosuke Takeshita against Matthew and Nick Jackson on the pay-per-view card. Callis said he wants a front-row view when that happens, and he made it clear he sees the Bucks as a drain on the business rather than one of AEW's cornerstone teams.

The match itself was only recently finalized, as Okada and Takeshita were added to face The Young Bucks at AEW Dynasty after Fletcher was removed from the original plan.

Quote from Don Callis

Speaking in a recent interview, Callis unloaded on the Bucks and went as far as saying he wants to keep part of Nick Jackson as a souvenir.

"I would love to be sitting at commentary or even standing at the ring apron seeing those two little punks from Rancho Cucamonga, who have been wood ticks on the professional wrestling business for it seems like 10 or 15 years, sucking the life out of it and destroying everything that was great about it, I would love to see them get crushed firsthand by Okada and Takeshita. I think it's going to happen if you look at it. The bucks are very good athletes, they're great wrestlers, they're a great team. But here's the thing, you're going up against a juggernaut. You're going up against two of the best in-ring wrestlers of the last ten years. Takeshita and Okada are bigger, stronger, and faster and I hope that we don't just beat them. I'd like a trophy. I tried to take Nick Jackson's eye a little while ago on television and I didn't get it. I wouldn't mind having one of Nick's eyes or something to hang around like a talisman I could wear on television. I know the fans are too, just not for the same reasons as me."

What Callis' promo adds to Okada and Takeshita vs. The Young Bucks

Callis gave the Dynasty match a much nastier edge by framing Okada and Takeshita as a physical mismatch for the Bucks, not just another dream-team pairing. That pushes the bout further into feud territory and gives the pay-per-view match a clear personal hook beyond the card reshuffle caused by Fletcher's injury.

It also keeps Callis positioned at the center of the story even though he is not wrestling. If Okada and Takeshita do back up his talk, the result would strengthen Callis' group heading into whatever comes next for all four men after Dynasty.
