Summary
John Cena's next film project now has a release date.
*Little Brother*, which stars Cena alongside Eric Andre, is set to premiere on Netflix on June 26. The comedy is directed by Matt Spicer, whose previous feature credits include *Ingrid Goes West*, and written by Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel of *The D-Train*.
Netflix's synopsis says the film centers on a famous real estate agent played by Cena, whose tightly managed life is thrown off course when his eccentric younger brother, played by Andre, suddenly comes back into the picture.
Production Details
The movie was first announced in December 2024. Production later moved ahead in the summer of 2025, during the same stretch when Cena was still reigning as Undisputed WWE Champion.
Cena and Andre have already been linked in wrestling-adjacent coverage this week, with Cena recently revisiting a chaotic past appearance with Andre from *The Eric Andre Show*.
What The June Release Means For John Cena
A late-June Netflix release keeps Cena in the spotlight beyond WWE television, and it adds another major media appearance during a period when his outside projects still carry obvious crossover value for wrestling fans. Because *Little Brother* was filmed while Cena was still holding WWE's top title, the movie also doubles as one more reminder of how tightly his Hollywood work and WWE schedule continue to overlap.
