Summary
Kenny Omega said one of the things he is most proud of about AEW is that fans still have ticket options that feel attainable.
Speaking during a recent interview, Omega described AEW as a middle ground between WWE and the independent scene, and said the company aims to deliver a strong live experience without pricing out families and casual fans. He said AEW tries to give viewers plenty of wrestling on each card while keeping the show accessible.
Omega also has major business in front of him at AEW Dynasty, where MJF has already been taking verbal shots at him. He is scheduled to challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship at the event.
Quote from Kenny Omega
"We’re sort of like the alternative, we’re not quite WWE and we’re not an indie either, we’re just AEW. What we try to be is the most fun live show that you can watch available to you. I do think that for family friendly shows , mostly family friendly , ticket prices are absolutely friendly. We never skimp on the content, you’ll always get a ton of wrestling for your money value. You are getting a whole heck of a lot of AEW and you’re not having to mortgage your first house or sell off your first child. That’s not even a knock on any of the other promotions or anything. If you want to check out a television product and see yourself on TV and have fun and see what makes AEW so special, you can do it and you can do it at an affordable price. I’m just really glad that if there’s any interest whatsoever, whether it be because you’re a diehard AEW fan or you just want to go out and check out a night of wrestling or something fun with the family or friends, I’m glad that there is price point options available for all walks of life. That’s one thing I’m very proud of with AEW."
What Omega's comments mean for AEW
Omega's comments frame affordability as part of AEW's identity, not just a side benefit. By stressing both value and accessibility, he pointed to one of the ways AEW wants to distinguish its live product in a crowded wrestling market.
The timing also gives the quote extra weight. With Omega heading into an AEW World Championship match against MJF at Dynasty, AEW has one of its biggest stars publicly reinforcing the idea that the company offers a fan-friendly night out while still presenting major stakes on screen.
