Summary

The Knockouts World Championship changed hands in the main event of the May 7 episode of TNA iMPACT, where Arianna Grace defended the title against Léi Yǐng Lee.

Grace came to the ring with Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo in her corner, but his involvement did not last the full match. Late in the bout, the referee sent Lorenzo away after he put Grace's foot on the bottom rope to break up a pin attempt.

With Grace left on her own, Lee capitalized and left the show as the new champion.

Winner

Léi Yǐng Lee defeated Arianna Grace to win the Knockouts World Championship.

The result makes Lee a two-time Knockouts World Champion after she previously lost the belt to Grace at No Surrender in February.

What Lee's win means for the Knockouts division

Léi Yǐng Lee moves back to the center of the TNA Knockouts title picture immediately, and the finish also closes the loop on her loss to Arianna Grace earlier this year.

There is also a ready-made issue waiting for her. Lee has been at odds with Xia Brookside, who cost her a Knockouts title match against Grace at Rebellion in April. That gives TNA a direct follow-up if the company wants to pivot from the title change into Lee's next feud.
