Summary
A fan allegedly attempted to stab Krule at Ruthless Pro Wrestling's OMEGA event on March 28 at the Berwyn Eagles Club in Berwyn, Illinois. Krule had competed against SHLAK in a last man standing match earlier in the evening.
According to eyewitnesses, the trouble started before the show began when the fan approached Krule's merchandise table, asked about prices, and then walked off after refusing to pay. The same individual was seated front row for Krule's entrance and stepped directly into his path, squaring up to him. Krule stayed in character and did not engage. During the match, the fan was reportedly knocked out of his seat.
After the show, the fan returned to the merch table and confronted Krule again. A video shared by Lou Nixon captured the fan being beaten down, though accounts differ sharply on what actually took place during the confrontation.
Krule took to social media to confirm he was uninjured after fellow wrestler Effy checked in on him publicly.
RPW has not issued a statement.
Quotes
Quote from Lou Nixon
Nixon described the sequence of events to Cultaholic:
"At the start of the show, I was speaking to Krule. Krule told me that the guy went up to the merch stand at the start of the show, started asking Krule how much all his [merchandise] was, and then went, 'I'm not f*cking paying that,' and then walked away."
Nixon continued:
"This guy was front row during Krule's entrance now. He's like a big monster. He walks around, the guy stepped out the front row and stepped in front of Krule on his entrance and, like, squared up to him. Krule obviously didn't break character and made him look silly, and then during the match I think, like, the guy got knocked out of his seat."
Nixon also addressed the post-show incident directly:
"The video that you see happens after the show. Now, currently, the guy's went up to Krule's merch table at the end of the show and squared up to him and started going, 'Let's f*cking go then, let's f*cking go,' and then tackled him. In the tackle, that's when he must have shanked him because Krule didn't realise he got stabbed until after."
Quote from Mickie Knuckles
Mickie Knuckles, who was also on the card, corroborated Nixon's account and provided additional context about police presence:
"The cops were already there. They had gotten called because somebody, a fan I guess, got hit with a piece of flying debris earlier in the night. So the building wanted to take precautions and call for services. So the cops came to make sure they didn't need medical attention. So the cops were already there. In the video, when somebody says, 'Don't kill him!' that was the cop saying that. The cop even saw the knife, so the guy's really lucky that he didn't go after one of the cops with their guns or somebody else that had been packing. I mean, he stabbed Krule, the biggest, scariest guy in the room...and that guy just stabbed him!"
Quote from Anonymous Source
An anonymous witness told Cultaholic that they do not believe a stabbing occurred:
"I was standing near the merch table where the incident ended up with Krule and the fan. I think what happened was that the fan got rambunctious, and I don't know who started it necessarily, but I know that the fan was attacking Krule. I think the other wrestlers saw this, and they used it as a reason to attack this fan. I don't believe that there was a knife in play. I never saw a knife, I never saw a stabbing, and I don't believe that any of the wrestlers saw a knife. I really genuinely think that they wanted to help their friend."
The source added:
"In wrestling, it's notoriously a thing that when a fan attacks a wrestler, it becomes essentially, at one point in time in wrestling, legalised brutality, right? I don't think that's the case anymore. I think after the incident happened and they let the guy walk away, I think they quickly realised that they needed a story to save face and to not look bad on the internet, and this is where the stabbing story comes from. I don't think it actually occurred. No one tried to disarm this guy, and if they did, you don't see that in the video, and the guy was just allowed to walk out of the building. Why hasn't there been a police report? Why wasn't this guy arrested? There are a lot of questions about it, for sure."
What This Means for Krule and RPW
Regardless of how the specifics of the incident ultimately shake out, the night at Berwyn illustrated the real risks performers face outside the ring, particularly at indie shows where barrier infrastructure and security are often minimal. Krule is one of the most physically imposing figures on the indie circuit, and even he found himself in a situation that turned dangerous at the merchandise table after the bell.
The lack of a police report and the absence of any official comment from RPW mean the full picture remains unresolved. If the stabbing account holds, it would be a serious criminal matter. If the anonymous account is accurate, the post-match response raises its own questions about how the situation was handled. Either way, it is unlikely to be the last word on the night.
