Summary
Lady Frost says she has no bitterness about her time in AEW, even if the run never settled into a clear direction. Speaking in a new interview after Lady Frost lands in MLW after AEW contract expiration, Frost described her AEW tenure as an important stretch of her career and said she is ready for what comes next.
Frost explained that she initially worked on a per-appearance basis during the early Ring of Honor tapings in Orlando before later moving onto a full AEW contract. She also said she never wanted to be in a position where she was simply staying home and collecting a paycheck, because she would rather be in the ring.
How Lady Frost's AEW Exit Carries Into MLW
Lady Frost's comments matter now because MLW is getting a wrestler who sounds eager to stay active after a long stretch of inconsistent use. That gives her arrival more immediate weight than a routine roster addition, especially after Lady Frost confirms AEW departure after contract expires and quickly moved into her next deal.
Her remarks also frame the AEW chapter as something she values, not something she is trying to tear down on the way out. That keeps the focus on her next run instead of turning this into a grievance story.
Quote from Lady Frost
"We had just started filming Ring of Honor in Florida, in Orlando, doing the tapings and I was getting per appearance, but I was actually getting flown in so I wasn’t a true extra at the time. It was 2022, I believe, I was signed to the full one year per appearance deal. That was an AEW contract. As far as I know, I don’t think they have Ring of Honor contracts. So I went from working one year per appearance and then they signed me to a full-time two year, three year option contract after that, which was straight AEW contract."
Frost later went on to say:
"I did a couple of AEW matches, they kind of bounced me around. There was really never any direction, but again, very thankful for my time there. I did have a good time there. Obviously no one wants to sit. I mean, some people might like to sit in catering or at home getting paid. I don’t, I like to work. I would rather be in the ring doing what I love. It was almost four years that I was there. The first year, like I said, not under contract, three years under contract. But I don’t even know if a lot of people knew I was signed. I didn’t get a graphic. I’m not bitter or anything. It really was a good chapter for me, but I’m excited for the next one."
