Summary

Lash Legend says one of the hardest parts of her NXT run was feeling like she was doing everything asked of her without getting the chance to lead the division.

Now on the other side of that stretch, Legend says the wait ultimately helped her. After arriving on the main roster in late 2025 and aligning with Nia Jax, she has already put together a successful run that included nearly two months with the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

Quote from Lash Legend

Speaking in a recent interview, Legend said:

"I didn’t understand why, if I do A through Z, then why am I not getting the things that I know I deserve, that I’m capable of holding down the women’s division, being a champion."

Legend later went on to say:

"I feel like, for me as a person, my biggest fear — and I don’t like saying it out loud — but my biggest fear is not living up to the potential that I know I have. So, yeah, that was really hard for me."

Looking back on that period now, she added:

"I feel like now where I’m at, I wouldn’t have even imagined being this fast-tracked, as people say, on the main roster. Yeah, I was irritated. Yeah, my patience was very thin, but I appreciate it all. And it helped me grow as a person and as an entertainer — as a professional wrestler."

Lash Legend's NXT run and her WWE progress

Lash Legend's comments frame NXT as a necessary part of the climb, not just a frustrating delay. The biggest consequence is that her current WWE run carries more weight because she now sees that stretch as preparation for handling a larger spotlight.

That perspective also fits a broader pattern around the brand. Myles Borne recently said No Quarter Catch Crew helped him grow in NXT, and Legend's comments point to the same idea from a different angle: the system can test patience, but it can also sharpen performers before they move higher up the card.
