Summary

Mark Briscoe returned to AEW television on the May 13 episode of Dynamite after being away since March.

The former TNT Champion appeared backstage, reunited with The Conglomeration, and threw out a challenge to Tommaso Ciampa. It was Briscoe's first AEW TV appearance since the March 11 edition of Dynamite, where he teamed with the Young Bucks against Ciampa and FTR.

Briscoe and Ciampa look set for the next step

Briscoe coming back with Ciampa immediately in his sights gives AEW a clean way to pick up where that March absence left off. Even without a match being made official yet, Dynamite now has a clear thread to follow with those two names back in the same orbit.

It also puts Briscoe back into the middle of AEW's weekly mix at a time when the company is continuing to fill out its upcoming schedule, including its already announced return to Glasgow for an August 26 Dynamite and Collision taping.
