Summary
Mark Henry believes Chris Jericho will still end up in the WWE Hall of Fame, even after Jericho recently returned to AEW television instead of making a move back to WWE.
Jericho came back to AEW programming last month after an extended absence, which led to plenty of speculation about what his next step might be. Henry does not think that decision changes Jericho's long-term standing with WWE.
Quote from Mark Henry
In a recent interview, Henry said:
"I think so. He wants to create and control the narrative. He has a better chance of doing that at AEW. His legacy is going to be what it is. He succeeded in WWE, and he succeeded at AEW. When he decides to stop, the WWE still is going to want to put him in the Hall of Fame. There is no change. Nothing has changed, you know, with him going back to AEW, nothing has changed, just only the timeline."
What Jericho's AEW return means for the Hall of Fame discussion
Chris Jericho staying with AEW keeps his day-to-day future out of WWE for now, but Henry's point is that it likely only delays any Hall of Fame conversation rather than ending it. Jericho's history in both promotions gives WWE a strong case to revisit that honor whenever his in-ring career finally winds down.
That also leaves Jericho in the unusual position of still adding to his AEW legacy while Hall of Fame talk follows him anyway. WWE has already been putting fresh focus on that annual event, including naming Michael Cole and The Miz as hosts for the 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony.
