Summary

WWE NXT on May 12 at the Performance Center in Orlando was built around two notable roster beats, with Naraku making his first in-ring appearance on the brand and Noam Dar returning to television for his first match back.

Naraku defeated Lince Dorado in his debut after arriving on NXT with heavy presentation already behind him. That match came shortly after his new NXT identity was introduced, while Dar's return followed his earlier comeback segment that set up a bout with Jackson Drake.

Elsewhere on the show, Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Rain picked up a tag win, BirthRight beat Sean Legacy, Tate Wilder and E.K. Prosper, and Kelani Jordan closed the in-ring action with a victory over Kendal Grey.

What Naraku and Noam Dar change on NXT

Naraku's debut win immediately gives NXT another featured act to build around instead of leaving his arrival at the level of a teaser. Between the debut victory and the way he was framed on commentary, WWE made it clear he is meant to feel important right away.

Dar's return matters for a different reason. Even in defeat, putting him back on television adds another recognizable name to the middle of the NXT mix, while the closing stretch involving Kelani Jordan, Kendal Grey, Lola Vice and Izzi Dame kept the women's division moving with multiple rivalries in play at once.
