Nikki Bella says the walking boot she wore while appearing at WrestleMania 42 actually belonged to Chelsea Green.

Bella was unable to wrestle on the show because of an ankle injury, but she still came out using a crutch and wearing the boot to introduce Paige as her replacement alongside Brie Bella. Paige and Brie went on to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles.

Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, Bella explained that she borrowed Green's boot for the appearance and said it was not exactly a comfortable fit.

"I texted Chelsea Green, 'Girl, can I borrow your boot?' She said yes. She told me 'zhuzh is up a little bit more.' They painted it red and I was like, 'Oh my God, Chelsea, so your boot is red now.' We ran into her and Matt after and she was like, 'I didn't think I was going to make WrestleMania and I told Matt, technically, I was on WrestleMania because my boot was on it.' I tried it on before, she's a 7 and a half. When I put my foot in, I'm a size nine. It didn't feel good. My stitches were still in because I got them out after the match and it was pushing really hard on the stitches."

Bella's story makes it clear she was still dealing with the injury in a very real way at WrestleMania 42, even though she found a way to appear on camera. That lines up with her earlier update, when she said she was still wearing a boot ahead of WrestleMania.

It also adds a little more color to one of WWE's late WrestleMania changes. Bella could not be cleared to wrestle, Paige stepped into the spot, and the replacement team left the show with the tag titles.
