Summary
Paige said she is approaching her latest WWE run with a very different mindset after returning to the company at WrestleMania 42.
After four years away, Paige came back as Nikki Bella's replacement in the Women's Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-Way match. She teamed with Brie Bella, and the pair left WrestleMania 42 with the titles.
She later reflected on that comeback appearance while speaking on Stephanie McMahon's "What's Your Story?" podcast, saying she wants to enjoy the time she has left in this run instead of looking too far ahead.
Quote from Paige
"I came in this time with the mindset where I just wanna be happy, and have fun. Because I don't think I'm gonna be wrestling after this run. I wanna just enjoy my time that I have here, embrace absolutely everything. Just enjoy the journey. That's all I care about… To have this moment where I'm back in WWE, my neck is good, I'm wrestling again, and there is opportunities for me to be a part of these stipulation matches. I mean, man, I'm really excited. I'm really excited for the next couple of years. I don't know what I'm gonna get myself into but not trouble."
What Paige's return means for WWE
Paige framing this stretch as a limited run gives WWE a clear reason to keep her in meaningful spots while the comeback is still fresh. That matters even more now that she and Brie Bella are holding the Women's Tag Team Championship after WrestleMania 42.
Her reference to wanting more stipulation matches also points to WWE having room to use Paige in bigger-featured programs rather than treating this as a one-night nostalgia return. Paige, Brie Bella, and Nikki Bella were also shown in the front row on the Raw after WrestleMania before Liv Morgan faced Sol Ruca, which kept that returning group visible immediately after WrestleMania weekend.
