Summary
Raquel Rodriguez says she has enjoyed working as both a babyface and a heel on WWE's main roster, but she feels far more connected to the version of herself fans see now.
While speaking with Michael Fairman, Rodriguez looked back on her earlier "supergirl" babyface presentation and said it gave her a chance to connect with younger fans in a different way. At the same time, she said her current heel character feels closer to her real personality, especially because she likes to joke around and play with people in the moment.
Rodriguez is currently aligned with Liv Morgan in The Judgment Day, and that direction has already shaped how she talks about the group. It also follows her recent comment that The Judgment Day feels like a women's club now.
Quote from Raquel Rodriguez
"It was an interesting time when they had me in that badass supergirl era. Thank you, I love that term for her. She was a badass supergirl era. If anyone was going to be Wonder Woman on WWE, it would be Raquel Rodriguez. RR. I did like it. It was fun, you know, getting to be a good guy, being able to, like, hug kids and interact with them in a nice way and know that they look up to me that way but there's something about being this Raquel Rodriguez that feels like the most authentic version to myself even though I don't think I'm like this, I like children, yes. I'm not gonna like yell at you guys, you know. But I like to tease and I like to have fun with every situation, and so this version of Raquel Rodriguez, she is a badass and that's me in real life, and I think like me being the jokester that I am and just being me has really given me a new light, and I just love her more, and I don't want to go back to the cool supergirl that I was."
What it means for Raquel Rodriguez in The Judgment Day
Rodriguez saying this heel run feels more authentic matters because WWE has kept her positioned alongside Liv Morgan inside The Judgment Day, not as a temporary detour. When a wrestler openly says one presentation fits better than another, it usually gives that character more room to stick, especially in a faction role where personality matters as much as wins and losses.
It also suggests Rodriguez has found a clearer lane on television than she had during the earlier smiling powerhouse phase. If WWE keeps leaning into that side of her, the current version of Rodriguez may have more staying power than the "supergirl" babyface she said she does not want to revisit.
