Summary
Rhea Ripley said she has turned down several movie roles, including the bodybuilder part in *Love Lies Bleeding*, because the timing no longer felt right for where her wrestling career was heading.
Ripley explained that saying no to the film ended up benefiting her in WWE, as it coincided with the run that helped establish her at an even higher level. The comment came during a new interview in which she also said she wants her first movie role to come in the *Terrifier* franchise.
The latest media crossover talk adds another layer to a stretch where Ripley has continued to draw attention outside the ring, alongside comments on topics like fashion and branding in her recent interest in a Vans deal.
Quote from Rhea Ripley
Ripley said passing on the earlier role ultimately worked out in her favor:
"I haven't done a movie yet but I've also turned down a lot of movies. I was supposed to be in Love Lies Bleeding, I was supposed to be the bodybuilder chick and I said no."
Ripley later went on to say:
"Which then was perfect for me because it skyrocketed the Judgment Day and I made Rhea who she is today and I got to go on that generational run."
She also made it clear where she wants that first film credit to come from:
"I'm really saving my first movie for Terrifier. So, I'm really hoping that it does happen. I want that to be my first."
What Rhea Ripley's comment says about her priorities
Ripley's explanation suggests WWE momentum mattered more to her than stepping into a film project at that stage, and that choice lines up with how central she became to Judgment Day during that period. If a *Terrifier* appearance eventually happens, it would arrive with Ripley entering it as a far more established mainstream WWE name than she was when *Love Lies Bleeding* was casting.
That also makes this less about a missed acting opportunity and more about timing. Ripley framed the decision as one that helped shape the version of her character fans now know, which gives the quote more weight than a simple Hollywood what-if.
