Summary
Ricky Saints is set to make his WWE SmackDown debut on the May 1 episode after WWE announced that he and Black Monroe will join the blue brand.
The announcement followed a busy 4/24 SmackDown episode that also brought Fatal Influence, Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, onto the roster. As of now, the only match or segment officially listed for next week's show is Saints' debut.
Ricky Saints joins WWE's latest roster shuffle
WWE has spent the week spreading fresh names across its main roster, with Joe Hendry and Sol Ruca among the talents who also made debuts. Saints now joins that wave on the SmackDown side, and his arrival comes after a recent report that main roster plans for Ricky Saints were being discussed internally.
Black Monroe was announced for the brand as well, but Saints is the only name currently advertised for an on-screen debut next Friday.
What Ricky Saints could mean for SmackDown
Ricky Saints being added to SmackDown gives WWE another fresh singles name to introduce right as the brand is adding multiple new acts. With Fatal Influence and Black Monroe also entering the picture, the May 1 show now has a clear roster reset feel even before the rest of the card is announced.
If WWE keeps that momentum going, Saints' debut could quickly become one of the more important early signals for how SmackDown plans to use its latest additions.
