Summary

Roman Reigns says retirement is not here yet.

Speaking during an interview with Nico Leonard, Reigns said he still feels there is more left for him to do creatively and financially, even after already reaching the top of WWE. He added that advances in sports science, nutrition and training have helped extend careers, and that he still believes he has plenty to offer at 40.

Those comments come with Reigns still positioned at the top of the card. He is currently set to challenge CM Punk for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the WrestleMania 42 main event, and he has remained one of WWE's defining stars even on a reduced schedule. That lines up with the larger picture around him lately, including his recent comments about WWE's place at the top of the business.

Quote from Roman Reigns

Reigns first made clear that he is not ready to call it a career just yet:

"There is still a little more juice to squeeze. Almost there, but not quite,"

He later expanded on why he does not see himself stepping away now:

"I still feel like I have a lot to offer. I'm 40 years young. With everything that we have within sports science, nutrition, all the information we have, careers have been extended. We also get to a point where you grind it out early in your career, and then once you get towards the back end, that equity kicks in, and then you get into a different ballpark as far as finances. I'm not going to leave the park now. If the ATM machine is broken, you're not going to run away from it. You're going to keep collecting that money. I still feel like, creatively, there is so much left for me to do, and there is still a great deal of earning for me to take advantage of."

What Reigns' comments mean before WrestleMania 42

Reigns' comments make it clear that his current schedule should not be read as a quiet move toward retirement. Instead, he is framing this stage of his career as one where WWE can still keep him in major creative programs while he continues to cash in on the star power he spent years building.

That also gives extra weight to the WrestleMania 42 title match with CM Punk. If Reigns still sees major creative ground ahead of him, then this is not being presented as a farewell run. It is another chapter for one of WWE's biggest names, with the company still treating him like a centerpiece attraction.
