Summary

WWE has added two more pieces to Friday's SmackDown lineup in Tulsa, with Sami Zayn scheduled to speak and the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship set to be defended.

Zayn is advertised to address what happened last week, when he appeared disguised as the Gingerbread Man and attacked United States Champion Trick Williams and Lil Yachty during Williams' celebration. That follows Zayn's loss to Williams at WrestleMania 42, and it gives SmackDown another chapter in the issue after Trick Williams teased his WrestleMania 42 plans before facing Sami Zayn.

The show will also feature Paige and Brie Bella defending the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles against Nia Jax and Lash Legend.

Updated SmackDown lineup

Along with Zayn's segment and the women's tag title match, WWE has also listed Ricky Saints' debut, Jacy Jayne vs. Charlotte Flair, Cody Rhodes opening the show, and an appearance by Jacob Fatu for the May 1 episode.

What Sami Zayn's segment could mean for Trick Williams

Putting Sami Zayn on the mic one week after the attack keeps Trick Williams tied to one of SmackDown's top ongoing rivalries, even after Williams already beat him for the United States Title at WrestleMania 42. If WWE uses the segment to set up the next confrontation, the title picture could stay centered on Zayn and Williams a little longer before either man moves into a different program.

The women's tag title defense also gives the show a second stakes-heavy addition, which helps round out a card that now has both championship implications and several major character appearances.
