Summary

Santino Marella and Indi Hartwell were both suspended indefinitely during Thursday's episode of TNA iMPACT after a chaotic in-ring confrontation involving Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Knockouts World Champion Arianna Grace.

The angle started with a shouting match between Marella, Lorenzo, and Grace. Things quickly turned physical when Marella and Lorenzo got into an altercation, and Grace stepped in to defend her fiancé. Hartwell then arrived to help Marella deal with the situation, but Grace left Hartwell laid out with a knee injury.

Later in the show, Daria Rae told Marella that the Board of Directors had decided to suspend him for putting his hands on a member of the roster. Hartwell also ended up being suspended after Rae said she had put her hands on her while trying to pull Marella away.

What the suspensions mean for TNA Rebellion

With Rebellion set for April 11, the suspensions add another layer of uncertainty to a TNA show that is already building around personal issues inside the Marella family story. Taking Santino Marella out of the picture, even temporarily, changes the authority dynamic on screen and gives Daria Rae a much bigger role heading into the pay-per-view.

Hartwell's status also stands out because she had already been announced for a House of Glory match with Deonna Purrazzo, so the storyline now puts extra attention on how TNA follows up after Grace injured her knee on the same episode.
