Summary
Santos Escobar has revealed that he will undergo surgery on his ulnar nerve after what he described as a minor hiccup following the tricep surgery he had earlier in his recovery.
The update adds another obstacle to the injury absence that had already been expected to keep Escobar sidelined until at least late summer. His revised return timetable is not yet known.
Another setback during recovery
Escobar said he is frustrated to miss WrestleMania week while dealing with the latest issue in his recovery.
He was previously expected to be out for months after competing at AAA Rey de Reyes in the Rey de Reyes tournament final, a four-way match against OG El Grande Americano, Americano II, and LA Parka. After that event, he was seen clutching his arm in a digital exclusive and confirmed he would be away for an extended period.
What this means for Santos Escobar in WWE
A second surgery makes Escobar's road back to WWE television harder to pin down, especially after he had already been ruled out until at least late summer. For Legado Del Fantasma, it also means the group could remain without its central figure on screen longer than first expected.
