Summary
Shawn Michaels said Randy Orton stands out from the long list of wrestlers who have taken Sweet Chin Music over the years because he never sold the move the same way twice.
While discussing famous Sweet Chin Music moments, Michaels said Shelton Benjamin took the move "like a champ," but added that Orton brought his own style to it whenever they shared the ring.
Shawn Michaels on Randy Orton's Sweet Chin Music sells
Michaels said many wrestlers would react with a snapback bump, but Orton often made the superkick look different by collapsing in his own way.
Quote from Shawn Michaels
"He [Shelton] took it like a champ, but I will say, one of the people that I always thought sold it in a unique way was Randy. Honestly, Randy would take it differently every time. So many people would take a snapback and Randy could almost crumble down in a very unique way. I have to give Randy a lot of credit for bringing a whole different look to sell the Sweet Chin Music on a number of occasions."
Randy Orton heads into WrestleMania 42 with fresh attention
Orton is already part of a major WWE spotlight because he is set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42. That gives Michaels' comments a little extra weight, especially with Orton back in the middle of one of WWE's biggest title programs and Rhodes recently questioning Pat McAfee's place in the Orton story.
Michaels also noted that his new documentary, *The Heartbreak Kid: Becoming Shawn Michaels*, is now streaming on Peacock.
