Summary
A report on Saturday confirmed that Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, JC Mateo and Tonga Loa have departed WWE.
Kingston signed with WWE in 2006 and last wrestled on the April 17 episode of SmackDown. He leaves as a former WWE Champion and a multi-time United States, Intercontinental and tag team champion.
Woods signed in 2010. His last match came in a dark match at Royal Rumble, and he is currently sidelined with an injury. Like Kingston, he exits as one of the defining members of The New Day.
JC Mateo signed in 2025 and last wrestled on the April 24 episode of SmackDown. Tonga Loa signed in 2024 and last wrestled on the April 13 episode of Raw.
What Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods leaving means for WWE
Kingston and Woods leaving at the same time would strip WWE's active roster of the remaining New Day members, closing another chapter for one of the promotion's most decorated teams.
The exits of Mateo and Tonga Loa also deepen the latest round of roster turnover, especially with both names tied to the MFTs before their departures were confirmed.
