Summary

WWE EVOLVE aired its latest episode on April 29 from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, with Kali Armstrong picking up a win over Tyra Mae Steele before declaring that her time in EVOLVE is over.

After the match, Armstrong said she made history as the first EVOLVE Women's Champion and helped build the brand, but added that she is now headed to NXT to handle business there. The episode also featured Aaron Rourke retaining the EVOLVE Championship in the main event.

Results

Kali Armstrong defeated Tyra Mae Steele.

Layla Diggs and Masyn Holiday defeated Anya Rune and Gianna Capri.

Aaron Rourke defeated Braxton Cole and Harlem Lewis to retain the EVOLVE Championship.

Elsewhere on the show, It's Gal said he has feelings and that it is time to peak. Max Abrams, Jacari Ball, CJ Valor, and Santi Rivera interrupted Romeo Moreno vs. Chazz "Starboy" Hall, asked Hall to join them, then attacked both men after he refused. Timothy Thatcher welcomed new security, and a Tristan Angels vignette also aired.

Kali Armstrong moves on to NXT

Armstrong's exit promo gives WWE EVOLVE a clean turning point in its women's division, because the brand's first women's champion is now positioned to move up the ladder. On the NXT side, it also fits with WWE already scheduling Armstrong for a match against Jaida Parker on the May 5 episode of NXT.

Rourke's title defense also kept the men's picture crowded, especially with Harley Riggins, Brooks Jensen, and Kam Hendrix confronting him after the match.
