WWE has announced that Saturday Night's Main Event will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 18. The show will air live in the United States on Peacock.

The event marks the first time since 2007 that Saturday Night's Main Event has been held in New York City. WWE also positioned the card as part of Fanatics Fest NYC weekend, which runs from July 16 through July 19 at the Javits Center.

Ticket details

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale on Thursday, April 2 at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster. WWE said an exclusive presale is already underway.

The company also announced Priority Pass packages through On Location, which include premium seating, hospitality events with Superstar appearances, exclusive photo opportunities and other perks.

What Madison Square Garden means for Saturday Night's Main Event

Bringing Saturday Night's Main Event to Madison Square Garden gives the July 18 show a bigger-event feel right away, especially with the card landing in the middle of Fanatics Fest NYC weekend. That timing gives WWE a chance to put one of its revived brand names in front of a concentrated New York crowd and a large number of traveling fans.

Madison Square Garden also still carries real weight in wrestling, whether the spotlight is on WWE or on talent reflecting on what the building means to them, as seen when Mike Santana discussed his return to Madison Square Garden with NXT. For this show, the venue alone helps frame Saturday Night's Main Event as more than a routine television special.
