Summary
WWE SmackDown airs Friday, May 8 from VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, with an 8 p.m. ET start time. The show will air on USA Network in the United States and on Netflix internationally.
WWE has also set a handful of featured segments and matches for the episode. As with last week's SmackDown lineup, the card mixes a top-name appearance with a title bout and a multi-person tag match.
Announced lineup for SmackDown
The current lineup for the May 8 episode includes Gunther appearing on the show, Tiffany Stratton defending the WWE Women’s United States Title against Kiana James, and a six-woman tag team match pitting Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss against Fatal Influence, made up of Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid.
WWE has also advertised a Gingerbread Man Funeral for the episode.
What Tiffany Stratton and Gunther bring to this show
Tiffany Stratton's title defense gives SmackDown a clear championship hook, while Gunther's advertised appearance adds another major attraction to a card built around established names. With Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss also scheduled for action, WWE has loaded this episode with enough star power to make the Jacksonville show feel more than just a routine stop on the weekly schedule.
