Summary

WWE SmackDown drew 1.19 million viewers on USA Network for its March 6 episode. That was down from the 1.379 million viewers the show recorded the previous week on February 27.

The episode also posted a 0.27 rating in the 18-49 demographic. That number was down from the 0.34 demo rating from the prior Friday.

Demo rating and cable finish

Despite the week-to-week drop, SmackDown still finished second on cable for the night. The only program ahead of it was NBA coverage on ESPN.

That made it a softer week for the blue brand in total audience and the key demo, even though the show still stayed near the top of Friday's cable lineup.

What the March 6 number means for SmackDown

For WWE, this report shows SmackDown gave back a sizable chunk of the audience it had the week before, with a decline of 189,000 viewers and a 0.07 drop in the 18-49 rating. Finishing second on cable keeps the result from looking disastrous, but the comparison suggests outside sports competition still mattered on this particular Friday.

That kind of week-to-week movement has shown up elsewhere for the brand too, as a later March 27 SmackDown ratings report also reflected a drop in overall viewership.

Most-viewed clips from the episode

The most-watched YouTube clip from the show was Cody Rhodes reclaiming the Undisputed WWE Title from Drew McIntyre, which reached 1.5 million views.

The other clips listed among the top five were Randy Orton hitting Trick Williams with an RKO en route to WrestleMania, Rhea Ripley telling Jade Cargill she would take her title by force, Damian Priest and R-Truth becoming The MFTs' No. 1 contenders in Tag Team Turmoil, and Oba Femi destroying Johnny Gargano in an impromptu showdown.
