Summary

WWE has announced four live matches for WWE World during WrestleMania 42 week in Las Vegas, including two bouts with championship stakes.

The April 20 lineup will feature AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice defending against Thea Hail and Shiloh Hill. Earlier in the week, Tatum Paxley will defend the NXT Women’s North American Championship against Alba Fyre on April 16.

The rest of the convention match schedule includes Grayson Waller vs. Axiom on April 18 and Creed Brothers vs. Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde on April 17.

The convention has been positioned as more than a fan access event, with live matches joining the usual podcasts, autograph sessions, games and photo opportunities.

The announced card is:

  • April 16: Tatum Paxley (c) vs. Alba Fyre for the NXT Women’s North American Championship
  • April 17: Creed Brothers vs. Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde

What WWE World means for Lola Vice and Tatum Paxley

Lola Vice heading into WWE World as both one half of the AAA World Mixed Tag Team champions and the NXT Women’s Champion gives the event a stronger crossover feel during WrestleMania week. It also keeps Vice visible after her successful NXT Women’s Championship defense against Jacy Jayne on week one of NXT Revenge.

For Paxley, the Alba Fyre match adds another title obligation to a busy stretch. She is already set for a casket match against Blake Monroe on NXT Revenge week two after winning the Women’s North American Championship at NXT Vengeance Day.
