Summary

Abyss made a surprise appearance during the April 9 episode of TNA iMPACT as the show's Undead Realm storyline continued to expand.

The segment moved between several corners of that world. Tessa Blanchard and Father James Mitchell remained part of the ongoing story, while Rosemary told Mara Sadè she was collecting the seven deadly sins and wanted her to meet someone important. That led to Allie, also known as The Bunny, being introduced as Sadè's guide through the Undead Realm.

Elsewhere, Victoria Crawford was shown wandering the realm, and Mila Moore was abducted by Havok after being caught alone.

The segment ended with Rosemary bringing Father James Mitchell into a room where Abyss was waiting. The TNA Hall of Famer, who once held the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, apologized to his former manager and said he had sinned.

Rosemary, Mitchell and Abyss now have a bigger role in the Undead Realm

Bringing Abyss back into this story gives the Undead Realm angle a heavier link to TNA's past, especially with Father James Mitchell directly involved in the reveal. It also gives Rosemary's storyline a stronger supernatural payoff than a one-week tease.

That matters for TNA because this was not presented as a one-off visual cameo. With Allie, Havok, Mara Sadè and now Abyss all tied into the same thread, the company is building a wider character-driven subplot around the Undead Realm, much like it recently used other featured appearances on iMPACT, including Ricky Sosa's April 9 appearance.

Abyss has worked for WWE as a producer since 2019, which made the appearance stand out even more.
