Summary
TNA has made KC Navarro's first match back official, as he is now set to face AJ Francis on the April 16 episode of TNA iMPACT.
The bout comes together just days after Navarro resurfaced at Rebellion. During Francis' singles match against Nic Nemeth, Navarro returned and helped create the opening that led to Francis taking the loss. That moment marked the end of Navarro's absence after a torn ACL, and it immediately pushed the former First Cla$$ partners back into each other's orbit after Navarro returned at TNA Rebellion during Francis vs. Nic Nemeth.
How the match was set up
At Rebellion, Francis was focused on the confrontation with Navarro at ringside when Bernie Kosar struck him in the back with a steel chair. Nemeth then followed with a superkick to win the match.
With Navarro back in TNA after being sidelined since the summer of 2025, the promotion has quickly turned that return into a direct singles match. The history is already there, as Francis previously threw Navarro out of First Cla$$ and embarrassed him on stage after Navarro's injury.
What Navarro vs. Francis means for TNA iMPACT
Putting KC Navarro straight into a match with AJ Francis gives TNA an immediate next chapter for Navarro's return instead of letting the Rebellion appearance stand alone. It also gives iMPACT a personal grudge match built around a split that was already established before Navarro got hurt.
For Francis, the match is also a chance to answer for what happened at Rebellion after Navarro's return played a part in his loss to Nemeth. That gives the April 16 show a clear revenge hook without stretching beyond what has already happened on screen.
