Summary

AEW added two more matches to the May 6 combined Dynamite and Collision broadcast during Saturday's episode of Collision.

Jon Moxley is now set to face Juice Robinson in an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator match. The company also announced that Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander will team together again to face Mina Shirakawa and Harley Cameron.

The additions expand a card that already included Darby Allin vs. Kevin Knight and Dax Harwood vs. Orange Cassidy for the three-hour special.

How the new matches came together

The women's tag match followed fallout from the previous Dynamite, where Shida and Statlander lost to The Divine Dominion. After that defeat, Statlander was shown furious with Shida, who said she would make it right.

AEW later confirmed that Shida and Statlander will be back in the ring together on May 6, this time opposite Shirakawa and Cameron.

What Jon Moxley and Kris Statlander add to May 6

Moxley's eliminator gives the show another match with title-picture consequences, even without the championship itself being on the line. At the same time, AEW is leaning into the tension between Shida and Statlander instead of dropping it, which gives the women's tag bout more story weight than a standard card addition.

With the world title already booked elsewhere on the same show, these new matches help round out the May 6 lineup with both championship stakes and ongoing character friction.
