Summary
Arkady Aura says her path in wrestling started with training to become an in-ring performer, but eventually shifted toward announcing and hosting. During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Aura explained that she now feels settled in her current role and enjoys focusing on it week to week.
Aura has been part of AEW's broadcast team since 2024 and is regularly featured on Collision.
Quote from Arkady Aura
"When I started, it was a little bit more of a mixed bag- like trying out where I fit in and where I was going to be. I feel like now I found my lane with ring announcing, which is so much fun because it’s a big job. It’s ring announcing and hosting. So there’s a lot that goes into it, it’s nice to be able to focus on it now full-term and be on Collision. So, I know what I’m doing every week. My journey started with trying to be a wrestler. That’s where it started and it clearly did not end there. I’m not AEW Women’s World Champion (material). I started out with that, it wasn’t the path for me. (I) Took some time off and then I wanted to do interviews and ring announcing sort of happened. I wasn’t pursuing ring announcing, but I got the opportunity and I loved it."
What Arkady Aura's AEW Collision role means
Arkady Aura becoming a consistent voice on Collision gives AEW another familiar on-air identity point outside the in-ring roster, which helps the show feel more defined from week to week. Her comments also underline that AEW's presentation roles can develop into long-term lanes, not just short-term assignments.
