Summary

Drake Morreaux is set to continue his development in AAA after Shawn Michaels delivered the news during the May 3 episode of WWE LFG.

The update came after Morreaux's match against Tristan Angels, when Michaels brought him into his office for a conversation about where his career stands. Michaels told Morreaux that he had been in the system for nearly three years and that, despite people speaking highly of him, the company had to decide how much more time it would invest.

According to the segment, Michaels also told Morreaux that his time at the Performance Center was up and that there was no room for him in NXT.

Undertaker also entered the picture

Rather than stay in Orlando, Morreaux was told he would be heading to Mexico to work with The Undertaker in AAA. Later in the episode, Morreaux met with Undertaker, who previously coached him during the first season of WWE LFG.

There is still no word on when Morreaux will make his first appearance on AAA television.

What the AAA move means for Drake Morreaux

Morreaux now has a clear next stop after Michaels made it plain that NXT did not currently have a place for him. That gives AAA a direct role in his development, and it also makes his eventual debut there the next key marker in whether this move opens a path back toward WWE's wider system.

Undertaker's involvement matters too, because Morreaux is not being sent out without a familiar voice in the process. With his Performance Center run now described as finished, the AAA stint becomes the most important stretch of Morreaux's progression.
