Summary

Eddie Edwards says he is ready for the pressure that comes with headlining TNA Rebellion, where he challenges Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship on April 11 in Cleveland. The title match was previously made official after Edwards secured his shot with the Feast Or Fired briefcase, as noted when Mike Santana vs. Eddie Edwards was set for TNA World Title at Rebellion.

Speaking on the Generation Of Wrestling Podcast, Edwards described the Rebellion main event as the kind of high-stakes spot he wants, and said both he and Santana share the same approach of leaving everything in the ring.

Quote from Eddie Edwards

"It’s the main event of one of our biggest shows of the year. It’s Rebellion, and any time you’re in a main event of a big show, you get to feel that pressure. Going into it, I enjoy being in those spots. This is the pressure that we all want. You know what I mean? This is the moments that there’s all the hard work that we do. We want to be in those top-billed matches on pay-per-view, and that’s what the situation is. You know, going into it, I’m just going out there, and there’s these matches where you go in knowing that when you walk to the back, you know, when the match is over, you know you’re going to be beat up. You’re going to be bruised. You’re going to be exhausted. You’re going to feel that adrenaline pumping, that’s what I look forward into in a match like this. I want to feel that coming from the back. I want to feel like I left it all out there. You know what I mean? Because I know I will. I know Santana will, he has been a great champion. There’s no denying it. He has worked his ass off for it, but I know we’re both in there together. We have similar mindset where we’re going to leave it all out there. We are, we are the main event in Cleveland, Ohio (at) Rebellion. Like let’s leave it all out there. Let’s bust our ass and leave it out there. So I’m looking forward to that feeling of pure exhaustion when I walk to the back and a feeling of true accomplishment. That is my goal, and, of course, feeling as a world champion walking out of there."

Eddie Edwards and Mike Santana Raise the Stakes for Rebellion

Edwards putting the spotlight on exhaustion and physical toll adds a clear consequence for Santana's title defense, the Rebellion main event is being framed as a fight that could reshape momentum at the top of TNA. If both men deliver the kind of match Edwards described, the winner leaves Cleveland with more than the belt, they leave as the centerpiece of TNA's next stretch of world title programming.
