Summary

Mike Santana retained the TNA World Championship against Eddie Edwards in the main event of TNA Rebellion 2026, but the closing stretch turned into something much bigger than a straightforward title defense.

Edwards entered the match after cashing in his Feast or Fired briefcase for a shot at the title. Late in the bout, Moose came out to the stage and a video played that revealed Alisha Edwards had been secretly helping The System. The twist added another layer of chaos to a rivalry that had already been building around Santana and Edwards heading into the event, including their contract signing confrontation before Rebellion.

Match recap

Once Moose appeared on the ramp, the match quickly broke down. As he tried to get to Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers and Bear Bronson attacked him. Santana then took out both men, only for Eddie Edwards to answer with a Boston Knee Party for a near fall.

Moose later hit Eddie with a spear, but that still was not enough to settle the match. With The System creating too much interference, they were eventually sent to the back. From there, Santana finally closed the door by hitting two Spin the Blocks and scoring the pinfall.

Winner

Mike Santana defeated Eddie Edwards to retain the TNA World Championship. The finish came after Santana hit two Spin the Blocks.

Moose, Alisha Edwards and what follows in TNA

Santana leaves Rebellion with the world title still around his waist, but the bigger fallout may center on Moose and Alisha Edwards. The reveal that Alisha had been working with The System gives TNA a fresh internal conflict to follow even after the title match is over.

For Santana, the result keeps his reign intact through a main event that was loaded with interference, distractions and shifting loyalties. That kind of finish protects the title picture while also leaving Eddie Edwards and The System with plenty of unfinished business coming out of Rebellion.
