Summary

Jacob Fatu reflected on the viral moment where he helped Lex Luger with his wheelchair and said the larger point had nothing to do with attention. For Fatu, helping somebody should be normal, especially when an older person needs it.

Fatu said he was happy to see Luger later walk to the podium on his own for his WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2025. He also shared that the moment included something not shown in the video, as Luger gave him an autograph afterward.

The comments add another layer to a busy stretch for Fatu, who recently discussed how his hiatus may have cost him opportunities before WrestleMania 42 in an earlier update on his WWE return.

Quote from Jacob Fatu

Looking back on the moment with Luger, Fatu said:

"It felt good. I didn't see it live. I did see a clip, but it felt good. It was something about us, man. Listen, whoever's watching this, or if you do come across it, do the right thing when nobody's looking. You're never too cool to help somebody older out. Especially coming from our Samoan culture, our roots and our backgrounds. I hang out with a homeless person before I got to WWE, chilling with them and stuff. You ain't never too good to say hi to nobody, you know what I mean? Especially if they're doing bad. But I was very happy, though, to see him. What's not on the video is he actually gave me an autograph. I actually asked him for an autograph after it, so shout out to Lex. You might not even know me. It's all good. All Gucci and Gabbana."

Fatu later went on to say:

"Like, do the right thing. I'm tired of people recording, showing things, the good deeds they're doing. What you want? A thank you? Huh? Try doing it with the cameras off."

Jacob Fatu and Lex Luger gave fans a rare sincere wrestling moment

Jacob Fatu's comments land because the Lex Luger clip already stood out as one of those small, real moments wrestling fans remember. By speaking so directly about it now, Fatu reinforced that the moment mattered to him because of the act itself, not because it became viral content.

That also helps shape how Fatu comes across during a major WWE run. At a time when he is already tied to bigger stories on television, comments like these give fans a clearer sense of the person behind the on-screen chaos without overstating anything beyond what he actually said.
