Summary
Jacy Jayne believes her time in NXT has prepared her for the next step whenever WWE decides to make that move. The reigning NXT Women's Champion said she would not have been ready for a main roster call-up a few years ago, but now feels comfortable standing across from anyone.
Jayne signed with WWE in February 2021 and has spent the past five years building her place in NXT through several different groups and storylines. She is heading into Stand & Deliver 2026 as champion, where her NXT Women's Title defense against Lola Vice and Kendal Grey is already set.
Quote from Jacy Jayne
Speaking in a recent interview, Jayne said:
"I've been in NXT for about five years now. I feel like if I got called up two or three years ago, it wouldn't have ended well. I would have been gone by now. Everybody always loves to say that they're ready and in reality, you're not ready. It takes time to develop. It takes time to get confident and know your craft. I feel now, I'm ready. I know I can stand in the ring with anybody. I'm not intimidated. I can go with the best. So, I'm ready. Whenever they decide I'm ready, I'm going to be there, and I'm gonna take a spot and all of them should be ready."
What Jayne's Position Means Before Stand & Deliver
Jayne framing herself as fully ready matters because she is not speaking as a prospect chasing attention, she is speaking as the NXT Women's Champion with a title defense still ahead of her. That gives her comments extra weight heading into Stand & Deliver 2026, where WWE can keep building her as the face of the division or use a strong showing to strengthen her case for a move upward.
It also underlines how Jayne sees her current run. After five years in NXT, she is presenting herself as a finished product rather than a talent still learning on the job. If that confidence carries into her match with Lola Vice and Kendal Grey, the story around Jayne will be less about whether she belongs at a higher level and more about when the company chooses to pull the trigger.
