Summary

Kaitlyn says an old issue with Layla is firmly in the past.

While talking about WrestleMania week in Las Vegas on her latest vlog, the former Divas Champion reflected on how quickly she was pushed onto television after signing with WWE. Kaitlyn said that rapid rise created resentment in the locker room at the time, and she named Layla as one of the women who gave her a hard time.

She also made it clear that the situation did not stay that way. According to Kaitlyn, the two later reconnected at a signing, talked through their history, and are now on good terms.

Quote from Kaitlyn

"Layla actually, when we were both still in the WWE, she left a few years before I did, and we had never really talked or caught up until a few years ago. We were actually booked for a signing and we were sharing the table. Yeah, her and I had like a little bit of beef in the past. Like when I first got my contract, I had never wrestled before, and I was only with the company for about four weeks before I got pulled up on TV to debut on NXT season three. So I got like a lot of shit in the locker room from some of the top women there because they didn’t feel like I deserved to be there, and though she was one of the divas that gave me a hard time, and we’ve since like, talked it out and worked it out. We’re really cool now, but it’s just so funny to kind of go over the history that I have with each of these women."

What Kaitlyn's WWE story adds now

Kaitlyn's comments give a little more context to how unusual her WWE rise was at the time, especially coming from a talent who openly says she had never wrestled before getting that call to NXT season three. It also explains why a later reunion with Layla at a signing stood out to her, because it marked a clear change from locker room tension to a friendly relationship.

For fans who still follow former Divas era names during WrestleMania week appearances and reunion events, the bigger takeaway is simple: Kaitlyn is talking about that chapter as settled business, not an active grudge.
