Summary
AEW has filled out the April 11 edition of Collision with two title matches and several bouts tied directly to the Dynasty build.
Kazuchika Okada will defend the AEW International Championship against Myron Reed, while Mistico and JetSpeed, Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight, are set to put the AEW World Trios Championships on the line against The Dogs, David Finlay, Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors.
Elsewhere on the card, the Young Bucks will meet El Clon and Hechicero before their Dynasty match involving Okada and Konosuke Takeshita. RUSH will also face Anthony Bowens, with the winner claiming the No. 2 entry spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match at Dynasty.
Matches announced for AEW Collision
AEW also confirmed Thekla and Marina Shafir against Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor, along with Hurt Syndicate appearing in action on the show.
That gives Collision a lineup built around both championship stakes and Dynasty positioning, rather than a card made up of stand-alone matches.
How Kazuchika Okada and the Dynasty build shape Collision
Okada vs. Myron Reed gives Collision a featured singles title match, and RUSH vs. Bowens adds a direct consequence for the Casino Gauntlet at Dynasty. Those two matches alone give the show stakes that reach beyond Saturday night.
The Young Bucks working against El Clon and Hechicero also keeps the Don Callis Family story active heading into Dynasty. Add in the Trios title defense from Mistico and JetSpeed, and AEW has centered this Collision around championship focus and pay-per-view momentum.
