Summary

Kit Wilson says he still sees his current WWE run as progress, even if the wins have not followed yet.

With Elton Prince sidelined, Wilson has been working on his own on SmackDown. He acknowledged that the results have not gone his way and joked that Danhausen may have him "double cursed," "triple cursed," or even "quad cursed," but he said he still believes the overall direction is positive.

Quote from Kit Wilson

Speaking in a new interview, Wilson said:

"Do you know what? I really feel I am on an upward trajectory. Things haven’t gone my way. I’m currently cursed, maybe double cursed, maybe triple cursed, maybe the first ever quad cursed. But I’m on an upward trajectory and I have no plans whatsoever to stop. I’m just going to go up and up and up. I’m in this mindset right now. I feel like I’m learning, I’m growing, I’m developing. Any loss is just growth, and, you know, maybe this is maybe silly talk for some people, but I’m in the mindset and I’m not stopping. I’m just going to keep on going. I really am."

What Kit Wilson's SmackDown stretch could mean

Kit Wilson framing this SmackDown run as development matters because WWE now has a clearer look at him as a singles act while Elton Prince is out. Even without a string of victories, television time can still help define where Wilson fits if Pretty Deadly stays in focus when the team is back together.

It also puts more attention on how Wilson presents himself week to week. That kind of character clarity has been a talking point elsewhere in WWE lately, including Becky Lynch discussing why her current theme finally feels right for her.
