Summary
Kit Wilson says there is still real uncertainty around whether Elton Prince will wrestle again.
While speaking with Shakiel Mahjouri, Wilson said Prince is dealing with a serious injury and described his tag partner's return as a question mark. Wilson added that he hopes Prince does make it back, and believes Pretty Deadly could come back stronger if that happens.
Wilson is also heading into WWE Backlash, where he and The Miz are set to face Danhausen and a mystery partner.
Quote from Kit Wilson
"It's a way to elevate, the only issue is with Elton and the unfortunate injury, there's still a big question mark there. We've got a long road of recovery and it's still a bit of a question mark of whether he will return to the ring, it's a serious injury. So, I hope he does, I want him to come back. If he does, yeah, hopefully I've raised the profile enough that it'll be a bigger and better Pretty Deadly."
Wilson later went on to say:
"The fun side of that is, I think it'll be a different Pretty Deadly. I don't think we fully know what that will be and I think it'll be a more mature Pretty Deadly. Again, starting off in NXT UK, I was 24. I think Elton was 22. I'm now 30, Elton is I think any day now turning 29. So, I think Pretty Deadly, by the time they come back and by the time they reform, we're just gonna be more mature I think. I think we're gonna be just a different animal. I don't even fully know what that is, we'll very much stand for a lot of similar things, but it's gonna be an evolution for real. We were Charmander before and now we're about to become Charizard."
What this means for Pretty Deadly
Wilson's comments leave Pretty Deadly in a holding pattern. If Prince cannot return soon, Wilson's current singles visibility and his Backlash involvement give WWE a way to keep one half of the act on television while the team's future stays unsettled.
At the same time, Wilson clearly framed any reunion as a fresh version of the duo rather than a simple reset. WWE has dealt with other injury-timeline questions recently, including Stephanie Vaquer's expected absence, so Prince's status is now the key factor in whether Pretty Deadly returns as an active tag team or remains on pause.
